- Foodandcrits CKDiciembre 3, 2014Good to be here , finally arrive , a big place with relatively large variety of facilities
- It's the cheapest cab ride from most of NYC, but if you have a layover here make it a short one.
- WendyNoviembre 27, 2013American Airlines gates at Terminal B offer lots of plugs for necessary re-charge & meet ups! Nice people sharing outlets, too.
- Daniel M.Agosto 13, 2012If you're flying on Southwest, be advised they do not assign seats. Head directly toward the middle of the aircraft and grab an emergency exit row. This way you're guaranteed an aisle or window seat.
- If you fly American - go downstairs - great healthy food store and a great baseball cap store. :-)
- Pro tip: if C security is long you can go through D and take the shuttle (and vice versa). Leave yourself time but not so much time that you have to sit in the crappy terminals.
- ShaneAbril 30, 2014Hanging out at the Gate? Download Songza and drift away with an expertly curated playlist 💂
- If your looking for some really solid cuisine, Auntie Annes has a great selection of pretzels that are guaranteed to make your LDLs increase.
- Cheryl MizellJunio 25, 2013Be sure to inquire about how well the A/C works in the taxi BEFORE you take the ride. :-) P.S. It's gettin' hot in here.
- A once cruddy airport is now an absolute gem
- Todd HamiltonAbril 21, 2015One of the more unpleasant flying experiences that you can have, though there is an effort to modernize the antiquated terminals.
- Best to fly in here if you live in Brooklyn or queens
- Terminal B is a hellhole vortex of rude a-holes, from normally-friendly Southwest check-in agents to security-line personnel and travelers who put their bags all over seats at the gate.
- Vivienne GucwaMayo 18, 2014Forget about food and drinks if you are stuck in C. Just a minimal assortment of Hudson News and Annie's Pretzels (literally). People are an afterthought here.
- LaGuardia Airport (LGA)Febrero 12, 2015Traveling thru #LGA Terminal B this weekend? We have special TREATS for you! Check it out here: http://tinyurl.com/leysz9r
- I just found out Time Warner Cable customers get free wifi at Boingo hotspots! Just choose TWC from the drop down and sign in with your username and password.
- If you are flying Delta, all flights do NOT leave from the main terminal so make sure to check the gate letter -- if it begins with C, have the cab drop you off at Terminal C.
- If for some reason, you're looking for United Club, it's actually outside the security line. (This airport has an odd layout.) Concourse C, behind the ticket counters.
- If you've landed at Terminal B in the C or D wings the taxi line tends to be shortest at the hidden stand around the corner of Baggage Claim
- They have a better selection of cheaper flight offerings than at JFK, but that is about the only positive thing I can say.
- Getting home by car service? Ask them to meet you at the departures. Instead of going downstairs walk straight out, less traffice, and parking police won't hassle them.
- Angie GannonMarzo 10, 2013Security doesn't open until 4.30am, so while its good to get here early to beat the crowds, don't get here too early. You'll just spend it lining up waiting for them to open.
- Terminal c and d have good places to order food and drinks. Sit down by an iPad and order away.
- You can check in online, check bags and the drop them off at the curb outside. You don't need to do it inside. Saved us about 20min of wait time just by doing that.
- Vivek GuptaNoviembre 3, 2013The coffee shop in the Terminal B food court is open 24hrs in case you need it.. but it's pricey - $4 for a bottle of water. Take the free shuttle to get between the terminals.
- For $2.25 or one Metrocard swipe, you can get downtown via the MTA M60 bus which connects to the N/R Train, also goes across bridge to 125th . During rush hour, its TONS faster than a cab.
- While in NY, tune your radios to 92.3 NOW FM and hear me mix all your favorite party jams live every Mon-Fri at 9pm & Sat at 8pm!
- If you're headed to Brooklyn, skip the yellow cab line and call a car. It's much cheaper and saves you waiting in the taxi line from hell. My pick is BRD (718) 384-4444
- Cathy PreeceMayo 31, 2013Terminal C is in SERIOUS need of an upgrade! Only two take out food outlets -Au Bon Pain and CIBO express... Get good and drink before going through security!
- DoubleTree by Hilton ManagerSeptiembre 22, 2011Look-up public transportation options in your destination city prior to leaving to save money on cab fare. For more travel tips and fun, follow @DoubleTree on Twitter!
- Coming in on a Sunday around 4pm/5pmish traffic is a brute, so plan accordingly because you will be in traffic for a bit
- Always pick up your loved ones on the departure level. There are no bathrooms near the parking garage.
- It never fails that the taxi stand outside the central terminal around the corner has no line while there are over 300 people waiting 350 ft away right outside the doors. Move your feet, sheep!
- The m60 bus from manhattan is the best way to get here!!! Super fast and cheap
- Todd WrightMayo 22, 2013If you're the "greatest city in the world" as you shamelessly claim, then upgrade one or both of your terrible airports! The Wright brothers had a better experience getting on and off a plane.
- Candace JaworskiJunio 27, 2014Go to the 2nd cab line!! It really is only 350 FT away and you'll jump right in a taxi!
- Welcome! Be dazzled by the sparkly exit sign while leaving the secure area & security personnel rockin' chanel shades indoors. Classic jazz..
- Tee RulesAgosto 11, 2014Long term parking full? Go over to national car rental for cheaper airport parking. They will shuttle your back to the airport for free
- If flying out of Gate D (American) be sure to stop at the food court before going through security. There's nothing on the other side except a cold deli and Auntie Annies.
- Dylan RicoMarzo 16, 2013Much better than JFK. Tinier, easier to get in and out, and just all around more convenient.
- If you're in a terminal other than C or D, just go ahead and die to avoid the misery coming your way.
- Austin GunterJunio 11, 2012Crotch Watch: if you opt out of the pervy X-ray machines, wear a cup, the dude who pats you down has very heavy hands. You don't want to get racked.
- Terminal C does NOT have air conditioning. Unless a couple of large fans for a thousand people sounds like effective cooling to you, dress lightly and buy cold water once through security.
- It took me around 90 minutes to get to LGA by subway and bus from 43rd and 6ave and missed my flight. Come early! The reconstruction sucks and you need an extra time because of the airport traffic
- If you had to get stuck in a Delta terminal, this is the one you'd want to be stuck in. Plugs are plentiful, iPads for entertainment/ordering food are abundant and seating is everywhere. Not bad.
- Laguardia is the easiest airport to get in and out of in all of NYC!!! believe me: I've flown them all and laguardia beats the hoers hands down!!!!
- Welcome to New York City! Consider adding Harlem on your list of places to visit during your stay. You'll be glad you did!
