Sandwiches and Bistro chips are some of the best kept secrets at Matchbox where the masses go for the Pizza that they are known for.

Joey and Christina are great bartenders. Matchbox also boasts the best onion rings in the District of Columbia!

Great place. Pizza is real brick oven and not just thin crust. Get early on weekends as the wait can be long and bar fills up quickly

FGT are good But they aren't available@ 14th street.Location. Tend to change Menus every few months so it's worth rotating between the two locations

I got the Fire n Smoke pizza n it was SO spicy even though it was good. I don't recommend it if you are not spice tolerant. I think the pan seared scallop n the mini burgers were great though!

Don't believe their website. They DO take reservations and book up quickly on weekends. This may leave you out in the cold...

You can do half and half pizzas from the pizzas on the menu. It doesn't say it on the menu but they do it! :-)

Between the best pizzas in town and juicy little mini-burgers that come, as advertised on servers' shirts, in sets of 3, 6, or 9 (we recommend 9), no wonder Matchbox is on fire in D.C.!

The sliders were damn good. Didn't need the Parmesan, but with the thin pickles and Gouda, they were great. Very juicy for small burgers; the buns didn't get too soggy, which happens with brioche.

Yummy. Easily a top 25 place to eat in the city. Easily accessible at the Chinatown/Gallery Metro. Trendy-ish. Only downsides are the occasional wait and beverages on the pricey side.
