Best airport parking is Expresso.... Hands down.

Mark AddisOctubre 13, 2011This airport finds ways to delay. 35 mins from rental car dropoff to terminal due too horrible shuttle. Only 2 security lanes open at 4:30pm on a Thursday for Southwest flights. SFO does way better!
Do not fly Allegiant Air unless you have no choice, or it is already the apocalypse.
Much quicker than SFO. That's the important thing.
Check out the BART ticket machines for an example of a truly awful user interface!
Far less weather delays than SFO gate next to me going to SFO had 3.5 hour delay - my flight into Oakland right on time!

No bar outside of the security gates?! They say it's open 9a-5p!? Whhaaat?
If it's convenient, fly into OAK instead of SFO to avoid crazy delays
If the security line at Terminal 2 is too long--which it often is--go through at Terminal 1 and then make your way back to Terminal 2.
The video wall at terminal 2 baggage claim is trippy.
Terminal 2 has better food & drink options.
- Terminal 2 is much nicer, more food options and the restrooms are cleaner.
Get Peet's coffee if you need some extra fuel.

Want good food? Forget Terminal 1 - head over to Terminal 2 for Subway and Burger King, yum!
I pretty much never have any problems at OAK. You can check in less than 45 minutes before takeoff without much trouble on jetblue.
Über has a fixed rate into San Francisco of $85 which is usually equal to or cheaper than taxi + tip. Cabs out of OAK are the grossest in the Bay Area. this is an IQ test people!
