Holy cow this place is tasty! I haven't tried everything (yet), but sausage rocks, turkey is flying under the radar, & beans may be the most flavorful in TX. Sauce is dead on: sweet, spicy & peppery.

The key word for the meats at Schmidt Family is moist, followed by the word tender. Expect no glazes, just smoke and spice. We dig the sausage's beefy flavor accented with pepper, garlic, and cayenne.
