The Octopus is the best dish - smoky, tender, cooked to perfection. The Lamb Saddle was also great. The Winter Salad with watermelon beet is a definite must try. Just ask when not listed on the menu.

Solid spot for brunch. I went with the Israeli Breakfast (in the pic) but the Shakshuka looked like it may have been the winner. Make a reservation.

Everyone, even the ressy text, will tell you to get the bread. And it's good, sure. The cocktails are innovative although only made of wine. Scallops were my fav. Everything's good albeit quite pricey

Amazing Israeli food, as well as charming design & atmosphere. You can buy the top or bottom half of the tasting menu too so if you're a light eater, half (plus a glass--or two--of wine) is plenty.

The space is tight. The octopus which is supposed to be their best dish was not amazing. I also had the hazelnut soup and the salad, both delicious, specially the salad. Duck and Lamb very good too.

Modern Israeli cuisine hits the East Village. Popular dishes here include the kubaneh bread, artichoke soup, sashimi, and octopus with black eggplant puree.

Great addition to the neighborhood (RIP Hummus Place.) Order the fresh baked bread in the clay pot! The mackerel, polenta and tortellini dish were all delicious. Also the Negronish cocktail.

A wonderful addition to the area. Great for a romantic date spot. The portions are are perfectly sized and the wine list is well-chosen. The oxtail stew and duck were delicious.

Great Israeli/mediteranean food that’s well priced. Loved the cowshuka. I wrote about it as part of my best brunch spots in NYC post on BellaVitaStyle.com

Everything we got was delicious (bread, eggplant appetizer and sea bass), and presented as a work of art. Service is excellent. Will definitely be back!

Delish Mediterranean food and great wine list! We loved everything we ordered: bread, calamari, gnocchi, and sea bass. Definitely recommend.

Pleasantly impressed by everything I ordered here (except the bread. Relax, Tanya). The lamb, scallops, and cauliflower were sublime.

Amazing new fancy Israeli place replacing Hummus Place. A starter plus an appetizer should be plenty to fill you up.

Upscale middle eastern fare. The service still needs work. Stand outs include the challah popover style bread....and yea that might've been it 😁

Everything's pretty but it doesn't live up to the appearance. The croissant is impossible to pick up and mushy within 10 min. Hummus was too tahini-heavy. Polenta too sweet. Fattoush too salty.

Eh I think this place is overrated. The included salads were a weird selection, and not that great. The shawarma brunch entree was nice but nothing exciting. Service was a bit off. $30 is a lot too.

I spent 6 months in Tel Aviv so I can tell you the food is not super Israeli but the service is. Prepare to wait forever.. the servers are nice, and food is a solid 6.5/10. Your call.

When I came into Timna, they tested out their new ravioli on me. I was the first person to have it. If you want me to like you, give me ravioli, even experimental ravioli. Leer más
