The pickled onions with rose- really great starter. It's just...different than anything you've had before.
I really love how casual and relaxed this place is, especially for Hollywood. The snow cones are good (though low alcohol). I got the blackberry ginger bourbon one.
Add tofu as a replacement protein in most dishes, though some sauces are chicken broth based. Good fast food for vegetarians.
The French fries with blue cheese dipped in the honey mustard plus one of the happy hour cocktails makes a good weekend afternoon.
The make your own pasta options are good. I added goat cheese, sun dried tomatoes, basil and vegan bacon.

Michelin starred Scottish food. Get the tasting menu with wine pairing (vegetarian tasting menu available). They'll give you a map showing where all the ingredients are locally sourced.
Some of the nicest waitstaff I encountered in Edinburgh. Cocktails are good too. Younger and trendier crowd.

A new, modern scotch whisky distillery. Scotland does need to get over the "no photos in the distillery room" rule though. It's just not true.
The soup of the day (mine was cauliflower and cheese) with a draft beer is a decent lunch option if you're eating outside.
Really like the Organic Whisky. One of the less corporate owned distilleries around.
This cooperage specializes in barrel repairs between whisky fills. Definitely worth a visit while doing some whisky tours in Speyside.
Cutest little B&B with good breakfast (served only from 8-9). They work with vegetarians and have things like cerals, homemade orange marmalade and scrambled eggs on toast.
Less than great views (picture is window from 604), but very clean, modern and relaxing. One of the few hotels to have a pool and steam room in EDI too.
Lots of savory pies (including two vegetarian pies!) and a good draft beer selection. The one tiny tv could be bigger as anytime a big match is on, everyone crowds around.

What a beautiful, quiet, non-crowded castle (much better than Edinburgh Castle, in my opinion). Truly explore and discover all the nooks.
Restaurant has good vegetarian options, including salads, vegetable korma curry, goat cheese tarts and are clearly labelled. Also has some nice whiskey flights (pictured is the Irish rebel flight).
Decent room views and a good location. Comfortable beds and pretty spacious living areas.
