Great place to hike. Crowded at the trailhead but it thins out as you find your trail. Great diversity of desert plant to look at.
Nice smallish national park. The east side feels a bit closer to houses but has more trails.
Nice short interpretive trail that takes you down into a gold homesite and wash.

Great place for lunch when hiking/visiting the National Park. The cornbread ranch salad is a great choice, and a decent beer selection.
Smaller zoo, but nicely done and a perfect rainy day activity in Tucson. The elephants are a lot of fun.
Nice rangers and a place to get the junior ranger badge.
A surprising amount of old buildings to explore. Some of the area is really touristy, but great for kids (if you overlook the people smoking meth in the parking lot).
Wonderful history museum with really interesting temporary exhibits that don’t “whitewash” the West. Nice garden outback. Kids love this place and usually not too crowded.
Imaginative semi-urban park. Good if you are waiting to go across the street for the puppet show.
Place is a time warp and a hoot. Plus you get free ice cream after the show.
A solid offering for the area. Big menu and outdoor seating. Farro side is delicious.
One of NYC’s great days out. Feel like you are in the country without leaving the city. Take metro north from GCT.
Awesome playground for kids with a fantastic slide built into the hillside.
NYC icon and every tourist in the world who “has to see the tree”. Avoid from November to January if you can.
