Krog is a fantastic dining experience. Wonderfully inventive food and great pairings. And the take away sweets at the end are fun for the rest of your time in Sweden.

One of the most unique museums in the world. Nothing quite prepares you for the vast scale and size of the Vasa. Go early to beat the crowds.
Worth the tour to see the inside. Many different and distinct spaces that have a lot of scientific and cultural history.
Great outdoor bar/restaurant literally on the water. Go early to get your place, pretty close to perfection on a Midsommar night.
Great place to grab a cocktail or beer and sit outside on the square and people watch long into the night.
Amazing location on the water in central Stockholm. Very quiet and makes you feel like you have the whole island to yourself. Great breakfast. Only downside is that the rooms are small.
Yes it’s a tourist trap but the beer and Mac and Cheese is worth it. Arrive early.
Not homemade ice cream but a cute old tome throw back that is oh so welcome in the hot days of summer.

Small historical site with an interesting history (at least for a non-native Californian). Well worth a 30 minute stop and very easy to get to.
Best beach in Santa Barbara, amazing views and easy parking in the morning. Great for kids to run around. Also, if it’s good enough for The Four Seasons front yard you know it’s a good beach ;-)
Art is a little hit and miss but it’s a cool idea and space to walk around.
Nice quiet hotel with good location to explore Alexandria. Easy access to DC via metro.
Love sitting outside for lunch and people watching. Food is better than it should be... and sometimes you see Steve Martin.
